Where did you train, and what qualifications did you receive:
I trained in Dubai initially and furthered my training in the UK. I am a qualified Brain Gym Instructor/Movement Facilitator/Consultant and a Touch for Health Instructor. I am a member of the Kinesiology Federation in the UK and a member of Edu-k which is the Brain Gym team. I have certificates for all of these qualifications.
What Type Of Therapy Do You Practise:
Touch for Health Kinesiology and Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym)
I Specialise In:

I specialise in Touch for Health and Brain Gym balancing.  I find Brain Gym is great for older children/teens who have exam stresses. Also stressed mums trying to juggle everything!

How Exactly Does Your Therapy Work?:

With Touch for Health, I identify and correct energy imbalances in the body that are usually caused by emotional stress, physical stress or physiological stress on the body. I use “muscle monitoring” as my tool where my client’s body tells me what they require. The corrections could be rubbing neurolymphatic points or holding neurovascular points, or tracing meridians, or activating the origin/insertion of the muscle.

There are various corrections for each muscle. With muscle monitoring, my client’s body will let me know what correction is needed.

With Brain Gym, there are 26 physical movements that connect the mind to the body that allows us to access our potential. The movements help with communication, organisation, comprehension, participation, focus, coordination. I use muscle monitoring to determine what Brain Gym movements are needed in the balance.

In both Touch for Health and Brain Gym I get my client to set a positive goal on something that is very stressful for them at the beginning of the session (showing weak with the muscle test) but at the end of the session it is showing strong which means it is no longer a stress on the body.

At this point, I would like to mention that I don’t diagnose, treat. Kinesiology is not a medical model and I am not a doctor. It is a complemtary holistic therapy that works on an educational model.

What kinds of symptoms have people who seek your services usually presenting with:

Mainly emotional stress, aches and pains or weight issues.

How might your therapy have helped them:
Most clients leave the session more relaxed and calm where the initial stress that was in them at the beginning of the session has been removed. The sessions are good for promoting rational thinking (not emotional thinking) and there are some nice and easy self-help techniques that the clients can go away with to do at home.
How Often Might A Client Typically Need To See You:
It depends. I muscle test at the end of the session to see if/when they need to come back. It isn’t a weekly thing. The next session could be 1 month, 2 months up to 6 months away.
What Is The Cost Of Your Sessions:
£55 for an initial consultation up to 90 minutes and if there is a follow-up appointment needed within a few months it would be £45 for up to 75 minutes. Children/teenagers are £35 for an initial consultation and £25 for follow on appointments.
What Are Your Typical Working Hours/Opening Times:
I am flexible as I work from home. I prefer to work 9.30 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday but I can do Saturday bookings on an adhoc basis
Are your sessions/ suitable for: Physically Disabled People/Wheelchair Users/Those with additional needs Adults Teens/Young Adults:
Yes, for
Children (up to teenager)
Teens/Young Adults
When a client has completed all their therapy(s) with you, what do you hope to have changed for them, compared to when you first met them:
With what I do it’s all about “self responsibility” and noticing negative feelings and having a choice to make. You can’t change others that annoy, irritate or frustrate you (or whatever the problem is) but you can change your attitude towards them by using some of the kinesiology self-help techniques. It’s about empowering the client to do what’s right for them. I get a lot of mums who never find time for themselves. At the end of the session they know that they need to look after number 1 first (themselves) before they can look after their family/friends.
What worries might a client have before contacting you to book :
A few people get put off with the word “energy balancing”. It’s very simple, straight forward and very effective. I give clients tools to be able to access their potential so it can be anybody who wants to feel better, feel motivated, energised and help to get them out of a stagnant rut.
