What kinds of symptoms have people who seek your services usually presenting with: Grief; struggling to cope. Although often it is obvious to me as a therapist that a client’s behaviour and feelings are symptomatic of grief, but not necessarily to them, and or their support network.
How might your therapy have helped them: Often the required outcome for clients’ is to go back to the way things were and felt before, that simply isn’t possible. Grief counselling is about learning to accept life as it is including that loss and a more positive way forward. It is so common for people to struggle more than they need to because they are trying to fight how they are feeling. This process is about accepting and allowing your feelings, processing them and understanding what grief is and how it is impacting you.
