You might come to me knowing that you need to move on with your life and cannot understand why your thoughts and actions are making you feel the way that you do. You may want to change and be willing to work in partnership with me to make this happen through some hard work and partnership with me as a team.

How Exactly Does Your Therapy Work?:

An Initial Consultation is a help where I gather information about my client’s issues and go through personal details that I need for my records. I also create a CORPS OUTCOMES record at this point and set a starting point for their happiness scale which is updated at each session. I ask them 6 questions which give me a baseline mark. This enables my clients to see their progress in terms of their happiness at each further session. This is a great motivation tool and the records are uploaded directly to the Association for Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy research data. My Initial Consultation is also used to “explain the brain” and this is revised at each further session. I use inconsequential language with my clients when they first arrive and then after talking about what has been good in their week, we revise the brain. I then use techniques including happiness scaling and the Miracle Question before a period of Focussed Attention (Trance) which usually lasts about 20-25 mins.

What kinds of symptoms have people who seek your services usually presenting with:

Stress, anxiety, weight issues and confidence.

How might your therapy have helped them: They have had their lives turned around in terms of how they view their issues now and how they are going to move forward with their lives. My explanation, at each session, about how the brain works also helps them to understand why and how their Amygdala kicks in, how the hippocampus works with the Amygdala and what duties their hypothalamus carries out. Helping them to understand how their stress buckets work on a nightly basis and how sleep is so important for emptying their buckets can impact greatly how they are feeling each day.
How Often Might A Client Typically Need To See You: One a weekly basis for as long as it takes.
What Is The Cost Of Your Sessions: £65.00 with free Initial Consultation

When a client has completed all their therapy(s) with you, what do you hope to have changed for them, compared to when you first met them: When I am able to sign off a client, I know that the changes have been made and I can see, on their final session, a brand new person, with a new attitude to life, able to understand how to move forward and how to be positive about their life. I will see them changed from the moment they walk in to see me, in their positivity, goals for their life and gratitude for what they have. They will know how their brain reacts to situations and can adapt themselves accordingly when stress and anxiety occurs. They will be positive, communicative and able to speak with me confidently about how they are moving forward against when they had their first session and they were slumped, quiet and not able to understand their feelings and think positively.
What worries might a client have before contacting you to book : Generally, it will be about how the sessions work, what they will be asked and how hypnotherapy will work for them. If they have not experienced hypnotherapy previously, they may be concerned that they will be under my control and be made to do things that they do not want to do.
