More Information: Here are two of my regular clients’ comments:

“I came to see Yola with Fibromyalgia, Migraines, lymphoedema trunk and legs, carpal tunnel both hands. I have severe muscle spasms so was unsure how a deep tissue massage was going to work for me but we managed to find the right level, stop-start as needs be.

It has helped me enormously with the muscle spasms/pains, carpal tunnel has virtually gone, my migraines decreased in frequency and now my lymphatic system is starting to actually function.

I started with deep tissue massage, have swapped around and had reflexology and manual lymphatic drainage too. Whatever seems most appropriate at the time. I have been helped enormously by Yola. Many Thanks D. D’Monte”

“When I first contacted Yolanda for massages over a year ago I was in a lot of pain in my back, shoulders and neck. I was looking for someone who would be able to help me and I am so happy that I have found my perfect holistic masseuse.
What Yolanda´s practice gives me is:
*a soothing massage which has ended my back pains
* a combination of various massaging techniques which has relieved my pain in my neck and shoulders
*relaxing music played in the background which calms down my nervous system
*useful tips which I can easily include in my daily routines to alleviate my aches and pains
I always look forward to Yolanda´s treatment and would highly recommend her. Having a massage with her is one of my favourite ways to indulge myself.

What Type Of Therapy Do You Practise: Swedish Massage
Deep Tissue Massage
Myofascial Release
Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Currently studying Reflexology and will be ready for treatments in May-June 2020

I Specialise In:
I specialise In tailored massages depending on the clients’ needs. Massage is a wonderful tool that increases relaxation, helping the body-mind connection so important for the body’s healing process.
Massage aids clients to find their centre, also bringing balance into their life. Self-care and taking responsibility of their own health is paramount to the treatment, this can be achieved by incorporating certain exercises, postural changes and correcting bad habits.
How Exactly Does Your Therapy Work?:

I provide remedial and/or relaxing massage, depending on the clients’ needs.

Swedish Massage:

Good to relax, helps to sleep, exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. It also stimulates the skin, soothes the nerves, reducing both emotional and physical stress.

Deep Tissue massage:

Affects the deeper tissue structure of the muscles and the connective tissue (fascia). It helps with both small muscle injuries and also chronic problems. Excellent way to deal with whiplash or sports injury, postural misalignment, treating spasms and muscle tension. Deep tissue massage concentrates on releasing specific chronic muscle tension, muscular knots or adhesions.

Myofascial Release:

Applies gentle, prolonged pressure to tight muscles, which stretches out areas of stiffness. In this hands-on approach, light pressure is placed directly on the skin (no oils, creams, or lotions) and is sustained for 5-7 minutes. Myofascial Release Therapy softens muscles from the inside and helps restore movement. It focuses on the fascia, which makes up approximately 80% of our bodies.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage:

The lymphatic system plays a key part in maintaining a healthy immune response. If pathways become congested, blocked, damaged, or severed, then fluids can build up in the connective tissue. This can lead to conditions such as oedema (the build-up of fluid in body tissue) or fibrosis (the development of excess fibrous connective tissue). It may also contribute to the development of cancer.
Lymphatic drainage massage encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back towards the heart.
Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle rhythmic massage on specific lymph nodes and points of the body that helps the lymph flow. Lymphatic drainage is believed to reduce blockages and promote health in the lymphatic system as well as the circulatory, respiratory, muscular and endocrine systems.
Common symptoms of a clogged lymphatic system:
Coughing, fatigue, fever, chills, runny nose, sweating, recurring sinus infections, lymphoedema, bloating, swollen fingers, feet, legs, etc.

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy, based on the reflex points of the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears corresponding with different areas of the body. Reflexology works holistically can work alongside allopathic healthcare to promote better health for clients.

Brings balance/homeostasis to the body. Releases any blockages and restores the free flow of energy and blood circulation of the body, induces relaxation, promoting well-being and equilibrium. It also helps to relieve anxiety and tension, improving mood and helping sleep.
